SZSE Invites Overseas Investors to Shenzhen Hi-tech Companies

Date: 2017-09-27

Shenzhen Stock Exchange (hereinafter referred as SZSE) recently held the “Shenzhen Hi-tech Company Tour” event, one of the activities under “Listed Companies’ Open House Program for Overseas Investors”. Over 20 overseas institutional investors from the US, UK, Canada, Japan, Hong Kong and other countries and regions have been invited to visit seven SZSE-listed companies, including ZTE Corporation, Han's Laser, Sunlord Electronics, S.F. Holding, Inovance Technology, Evenwin Precision Technology and Sunway Communication.

The seven listed companies, one listed on the Main Board, three on the SME Board and three on the ChiNext market, are engaged in sectors such as communication equipment, technology hardware, logistics and transportation, industrial products, etc. Foreign investors learned the companies’latest development, communicated face-to-face with senior executives, visited the laboratories and factories, and made an on-the-spot survey of the production and operation of these companies.

The participating overseas investors, including sovereign wealth funds, asset management companies, mutual funds and investment banks, are mainly professional institutional investors who invest in the mainland market through the Shenzhen-Hong Kong Stock Connect program. They focus on fundamental analysis of listed companies and pursue the investment philosophy of long-term investment and value investment. During the company tour, their questions mainly focused on market standing and unique advantages of listed companies, contributions of specific business or market to companies’ earnings growth, potential of overseas markets and future growth expectations. Listed companies responded to these questions based on the information disclosure principle.

Previously, SZSE had conducted 9 series of such activities and covered listed companies in Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Shenzhen and Hangzhou. More than 300 overseas investors participated and had good feedback.

As China is gradually opening up its capital market, such events will deepen mutual understanding between overseas investors and Chinese listed companies, and help listed companies improve international investor relationship management. In the future, SZSE will further enhance overseas investor service, promote opening-up of the capital market and facilitate the internationalization of listed companies.
